"Your home away from home"
The island of Aruba is located approximately 15
miles off the coast of Venezuela and is part of the
ABC ( Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao ) islands located
in the Netherland Antilles.  Aruba itself is less than
20 miles long with its widest point being only 6
miles.  Altogether it's about 70 square miles
making it easy to explore in the right vehicle.
The capital city of Aruba is Oranjestad, and
the island currency is the AFL, or Florin,
though US Dollars are accepted everywhere.
Most Arubans speak four languages; Dutch,
Papiamento, Spanish and English, so
communication is no problem.

Come visit the Aruban Donkeys!
Most visitors to Aruba tend to stay in the high-rise and low-rise hotel
areas of Palm Beach and Eagle Beach.  While this can be fine for a
week or so, I wouldn't recommend it long term.  These two areas, but
especially Palm Beach, are full of restaurants, shops and casinos and
are great fun for a night out.

For those who seek a bit more adventure, try some of these activities:
~ Scuba diving or snorkeling at various locations including old ship
wreck sites.
~ See the island on horseback or go off-roading in an ATV.
~ Visit the sand dunes of Arashi, the caves of Arikok National Park,
including Fontein Cave which features drawings from the native Arawak
Indians etched into the ceiling, and the amazing, various rock
formations, such as Ayo Rocks, which also feature drawings dating back
thousands of years.
~ Check out the old gold mine ruins.
~ Get up close with nature at Donkey Sanctuary Aruba, the Butterfly
Farm or Bubali Bird Sanctuary.
~ Try out some deep sea fishing off the northern coast of the island.

And if you really aren't sure what you want to do, then pick a beach,
grab a drink, and lay back and relax.  It is a vacation after all!
